Jan Vanthienen

Jan Vanthienen is Professor of Information Systems at the Department of Decision Sciences and Information Management at KU Leuven. His research interests include Information and Knowledge Management, Business Analysis and Analytics, Business Rules, Decisions and Processes. He received the Belgian Francqui Chair 2009 at FUNDP and an IBM Faculty Award in 2011. He is co-founder and president-elect of the Benelux Association for Information Systems (BENAIS). Jan is also member of the IEEE Task Force on Process Mining, co-author of the Business Process Mining Manifesto, and member of the OMG DMN-team. He is chairman (together with Ron Ross) of the World Congress on Decision Tables. He is founding member of the Leuven Institute for Research in Information Systems (LIRIS) and has published mote than 150 full papers in reviewed international journals and conference proceedings.
